FS8S0965RCB is a Fairchild Power Switch (FPS) that isspecially designed for off-line SMPS of CRT monitor withminimal external components. FS8S0965RCB is a current modePWM controller combined with a high voltage powerSenseFET in a single package. The PWM controller featuresintegrated oscillator to be synchronized with the externalsync signal, under voltage lockout, optimized gate driver andtemperature compensated precise current sources for theloop compensation. FS8S0965RCB also includes various faultprotection circuits such as over voltage protection, over loadprotection, abnormal over current protection and over temperatureprotection. Compared with discrete MOSFET andPWM controller solution, FPS can reduce total cost, componentcount, size and weight simultaneously increasing efficiency,productivity and system reliability. FS8S0965RCB is wellsuited for the cost effective monitor power supply.
