The G65SC22PI-2 is designed as one kind of CMOS versatile communications interface adapter which offers many versatile features for interfacing 6500 / 6800 microprocessors to serial communication data sets and modems. G65SC22PI-2's most significant feature is its internal baud rate generator, allowing programmable baud rate selection from 50 to 19200 baud.
Features of the G65SC22PI-2 are:(1)CMOS process technology for low power consumption;(2)15 programmable baud rates (50 to 19200 baud);(3)external 16X clock input for nonstandard baud rates to 125000 baud;(4)programmable interrupt and status registers;(5)full-duplex or half-deplex operating modes;(6)selectable 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 bit transmission rates;(7)false start bit detection;(8)serial echo mode;(9)four operating frequencies 1, 2, 3 and 4 MHz;(10)available in 40-pin dual-in-line or 44-pin PLCC package.
