GM76C28A

The GM76C28A is designed as 2,048 words x8 bits asynchronous static random access memory on a monolithic CMOS chip. Its very low standby power requirement makes it ideal for applications requiring nonvolatile storage with back-up batteries. The asynchronous and static nature of the memory requires no external clock or refreshing circuits.

It has eight features. (1)Fast access time 120ns. (2)Low power comsumption 1uA typ for standby and 30mA typ for operation. (3)Completely static operation. (4)Non-volatile storage with back-up batteries. (5)3-state output with wired-OR capability. (6)TTL compatible all inputs and outputs. (7)Single power supply 5V +/-10%. (8)Standrad 24 DIP, SOP and S-DIP. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its ambient temperature under bias would be from 0°C to 70°C. (2)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (3)Its voltage on any pin relative to Vss would be from -0.5V to 7.0V. (4)Its power dissipation would be 1W. (5)Its recommended supply voltage would be min 4.5V and typ 5V and max 5.5V. (6)Its recommended input high voltage would be min 2.2V and max 6.0V. (7)Its recommended input low voltage would be min -0.5V and max 0.8V. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics are concluded as follow. (1)Its output high voltage would be min 2.4V. (2)Its output low voltage would be max 0.4V. (3)Its operating supply current would be typ 25mA and max 50mA with test conditions of CS=Vil and it would be typ 16mA with test conditions of Vih=3.5V, Vil=0.6V. (4)Its average operating current would be typ 25mA and max 50mA. (5)Its standby supply current would be typ 1.5mA and max 3.0mA at CS=Vih. And so on.
