The GM82C803C is designed as a single 100-pin PC95 compatible super I/O chip with a floppy disk controller with data separator, two UARTs and an infrared interface, one parallel port (IEEE 1284 compliant). It is optimized for motherboard applications.
It has eleven features. (1)100% hardware compatible to the IBM PC/AT. (2)Floppy disk controller with 16 bytes FIFO (default disable). (3)Dual UARTs compatible to the GM16C550. (4)Multi mode parallel port. (5)IDE interface (optional). (6)Game chip selection logic. (7)General purpose address decoder. (8)Power down support. (9)5V operation. (10)14.318MHz or 24MHz clock. (11)100 pin QFP. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be from -0.5V to 7V. (2)Its operating temperature range would be from 0°C to 70°C. (3)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 165°C. (4)Its all input and output voltage with respect to Vss would be from -0.5V to Vcc+0.5V. (5)Its power dissipation would be 500mW. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics are concluded as follow. (1)Its high level input voltage would be min 2.2V and max Vdd. (2)Its low level input voltage would be min -0.5V and max 0.8V. (3)Its average Vdd supply current would be max 50mA with conditions of Vdd=5.25V, no loads on the outputs. (4)Its input high voltage would be max 10uA with conditions of Vin=2.2V to Vdd. (5)Its input low current would be min -10uA with test conditions of Vin=Vss to 0.8V. (6)Its 4mA buffer output high voltage would be min 2.4V with conditions of Ioh=-1mA. (7)Its 4 mA buffer output low voltage would be max 0.4V with conditions of Iol=4mA. (8)Its 8mA buffer output high voltage would be min 2.4V with conditions of Ioh=-8mA. (7)Its 8mA buffer output low voltage would be max 0.4V with conditions of Iol=8mA. And so on. If you have any question or suggestion or want to know more information please contact us for details.
