Description

This HCNW139  high gain series coupler uses a Light Emitting Diode and an integrated high gain photodetector to provide extremely high current transfer ratio between input and output. Separate pins for the photodiode and output stage result in TTL compatible saturation voltages and high speed operation. Where desired VCC and VO terminals may be tied together to achieve convention photodarlington operation.A base access terminal allows a gain bandwidth adjustment to be made.

The HCNW139 is for use in CMOS, LSTTL, or other low power application. A 400% minimum current transfer ratio is guaranteed over 0 to 70 degrees C operating range for only 0.5 mA of LED current. Selection for lower input current down to 250 mA is available upon request.

The HCNW139 is packaged in a widebody encapsulation that provides creepage and clearance dimensions suitable for safety approval by regulatory agencies worldwide.

The HCNW139 is a kind of high gain coupler. It uses a Light Emitting Diode and an integrated high gain photodetector to provide extremely high current transfer ratio between input and output. The typical applications include ground isolate most logic families-TTL/TTL, CMOS/TTL, CMOS/CMOS, LSTTL/TTL, CMOS/LSTTL, low input current line receiver, high voltage insulation, EIA RS-232C line receiver, telephone ring detector, 117 V ac line voltage status indicator and low power systems.

There are some features of HCNW139 as follows. First is high current transfer ratio which is 4500% typical. The second is low input current requirements which is 0.5 mA. Then is TTL compatible output which is 0.1 V VOL typical. Next is performance guaranteed over temperature 0 to 70. Besides, base access allows gain bandwidth adjustment. The sixth is high output current which is 60 mA. At last, it is available in 8-Pin DIP or SOIC-8 footprint or widebody package.

What comes next is about the absolute maximum ratings of HCNW139. The storage temperature (TS) is from -55 to 125. The operating temperature (TA) is from -40 to 85.
