Description

The 6N137, HCPL2601, HCPL2611 single-channel and HCPL2630, HCPL2631 dual-channel optocouplers consist of a 850 nm AlGaAS LED, optically coupled to a very high speed integrated photo-detector logic gate with a strobable output. This output features an open collector, thereby permitting wired OR outputs. The coupled parameters are guaranteed over the temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. A maximum input signal of 5mA will provide a minimum output sink current of 13mA (fan out of 8).

An internal noise shield provides superior common mode rejection of typically 10kV/µs. The 6N137, HCPL2601, HCPL2611  have a minimum CMR of 5kV/µs. The HCPL2611 has a minimum CMR of 10kV/µs. The HCPL-2630 is a optically coupled gate that combines a GaAsP light emitting diode and an integrated high gain photo detector. An enable input allows the detector to be strobed. The output of the detector IC is an open collector Schottky-clamped transistor.

This unique design of 6N137, HCPL2601, HCPL2611  provides maximum ac and dc circuit isolation while achieving TTL compatibility. The optocoupler ac and dc operational parameters are guaranteed from -40oC to 85oC allowing troublefree system performance. HCPL-2630 is suitable for high speed logic interfacing, input/output buffering, as line receivers in environments that conventional line receivers cannot tolerate and is recommended for use in extremely high ground or induced noise environments.



These dual channel 6N137, HCPL2601, HCPL2611  are optically coupled logic gates that combine GaAsP light emitting diodes and integrated high gain photodetectors. The photons are collected in the detector by a photodiode and the current is amplified by a high gain linear amplifier that drives a Schottky clamped open collector output transistor. Each circuit is temperature, current and voltage compensated. Theinternal shield provides a guaranteed common mode transient immunity specification of 5000 V/ms for the HCPL- 2631/0631, and 10,000 V/ms for the HCPL-4661/0661.

These 6N137, HCPL2601, HCPL2611  dual channel optocouplers are available in an 8 Pin DIP and in an industry standard SOIC-8 package. The following is a cross reference table listing the 8 Pin DIP part number and the electrically equivalent SOIC-8 part number.
