Description

The HCPL2630 is designed as a dual optocoupler for use in high-speed digital interfacing applications that require high volttage isolation between the input and output. Applications include line receivers, microprocessors or computer interface and control systems.

HCPL2630 has seven features. (1)Gallium arsenide phosphide LED optically coupled to an integrated circuit detector. (2)Compatible with TTL and LSTTL inputs. (3)Low input current required for on-state output which would be max 5mA. (4)High voltage electrical insulation which would be min 3000Vdc. (5)High speed switching 75ns max. (6)Directly interchangeable with hewlett packard HCPL2630. (6)UL recognized file number E65085. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of HCPL2630 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage Vcc would be 7V. (2)Its reverse input voltage would be 5V. (3)Its output voltage would be 7V. (4)Its peak forward input current each channel would be 30mA. (5)Its average forward input current each channel would be 15mA. (6)Its output current each channel would be 16mA. (7)Its output power dissipation would be 85mW. (8)Its storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 125°C. (9)Its operating free-air temperature range would be from 0°C to 70°C. (10)Its lead temperature 1.6mm 1/16 inch from case for 10 seconds would be 260°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
