HD63265

HD63265 is a floppy disk controller (FDC) VLSI circuit. It can be used in a wide range of systems from laptop computors to larger systems.

There are some features of HD63265 as follows. First is on-chip high accuracy data separator (adjustment free analog VFO system). The second is on-chip write precompensation circuit. Then is command code compatible with standard FDCs. Next is compatible with both 68 and 80-series mirco-processors. The fifth is low power dissipation. The sixth is selectable recording including FM and MFM. The seventh is selectable DMA and Non-DMA host data transfers. The eighth is multi-sector and multi-track read/write capability. The ninth is data scan capability which scans a single sector or an entire cylinder compare byte-for-byte host memory and disk data. The tenth is multi-drive parallel seek capability. The last one is stepping rate, head load time and head unload time programmable.
