HD63310R

The HD63310R is designed as smart dual port RAM (S-DPRAM) which acts as a communication link between two CPUs. Thus HD63310R replaces older, less flexible communication schemes such as parallel ports and FIFO ICs.

HD63310R has seven features. (1)1024 byte data buffer with dual ports (configurable as a RAM (DPRAM mode) or two FIFOs (FIFO mode)). (2)Asynchronous bus operation on each port. (3)Programmable bus interface which means each bus configurable as a multiplexed or non-multiplexed address and data bus. (4)Built-in programmable registers which means 8 semaphore registers for multiprocessing applications, 32 user-definable registers. (5)Programmable outputs which means interrupt outputs and FIFO status (full/empty, etc) outputs. (6)High speed operation and low power dissipation 2-um CMOS circuit. (7)Single +5V power supply. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of HD63310R have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be from -0.3V to +7.0V. (2)Its input voltage would be from -0.3V to Vcc+0.3V. (3)Its allowable output current would be 5mA. (4)Its total allowable output current would be 60mA. (5)Its operating temperature range would be from 0°C to +70°C. (6)Its storage temperature range would be from -55°C to +150°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some DC characteristics of HD63310R are concluded as follow. (1)Its input high voltage would be min 2.2V and max Vcc. (2)Its input low voltage would be min Vss-0.3V and max 0.8V. (3)Its input leakage current would be min -2.5uA and max 2.5uA. (4)Its three-state (off-state) leakage current would be min -10uA and max 10uA. (5)Its output leakage current would be min -10uA and max 10uA. (6)Its output high voltage would be min Vcc-1.0V. (7)Its output low voltage would be max 0.5V. And so on.
