HM73

      The HM73 is designed as shielded low profile surface mount inductors.It would be RoHS compliant.
      Some absolute maximum ratings of HM73 have been concluded into several points as follow.The first one is about its operating temperature range which would have the minimum of -40°C and the maximum of +155°C.The second one is about its ambient temperature which would be have the maximum of 80°C.The third one is about its temperature rise which would have the maximum of 50°C.That are all the maximum ratings.
      There some electrical specifications @ 25°C about HM73.Before the specifications something should be noted that the HM73 is a series which included from part number of HM73-10R10LF to HM73-5026R5LF.For example of the HM73-10R10LF, its inductance 100KHz, 0.1V would be 0.10uH for 0 adc and would be 0.09uH for Irated.Its rated current would be 22.0A.Its heating current would be 26.7A.Its saturation current would be 38.0A.Its DC resistance would be typ 1.4m and max 1.65m.Its height would be .138/3.50 inch/mm.And for the HM73-5026R5LF, its inductance 100KHz, 0.1V would be 26.5uH for 0 adc and would be 22.5uH for Irated.Its rated current would be 4.6A.Its heating current would be 7.0A.Its saturation current would be 8.8A.Its DC resistance would be typ 21.0m and max 25.2m.Its height would be .335/9.00 inch/mm.
      There are something of HM73 should be noted.The first one is the rated current is the approximate current at which inductance will be decreased by 20% from its initial (zero DC) value.The second one is the Heating Current is the DC current which causes the component temperature to increase by approximately 50°C.This current is determined by soldering the component on a typical application PCB, and then apply the current to the component for 30 minutes.The third one is Isat is the saturation current at which inductance rolls off approximately 30% from its initial unbias inductance value.The fourth one is PC board layout, proximity of other components, trace size and airflow will affect temperature rise and must be considered
when selecting an inductor.
