HST series

      HST series which are designed for all general purpose and high temperature applications are +125°C axial lead aluminum electrolytic capacitors.
      HST series have four features.The first one is about 125°C temperature rating.The second one is about extended life.The third one is that voltage range of them is from 10 WVDC to 63WVDC.The last one is that capacitance Range of HST series is from 1.0F to 4,700F.
      The following is about specification of HST series.Capacitance tolerance would be within ±20% at 120Hz and 20.
Operating temperature range should be -40 to +125.Dissipation factor at 120Hz and 20°C is as follows.When WVDC is 10 tan should be 0.20.When WVDC is 16 tan should be 0.16.When WVDC is 25 tan should be 0.14. When WVDC is 35 tan should be 0.12.When WVDC is 50 tan should be 0.10.When WVDC is 63 tan should be 0.10.Note: For above D.F. specifications, add 0.02 for every 1,000 f above 1,000 f.Leakage current should be 0.03 CV or 4 A whichever is greater when WVDC is less than or equal to 63WVDC and the time is 1 minute.Leakage current should be 0.01 CV or 4 A whichever is greater when WVDC is less than or equal to 63WVDC and the time is 2 minutes.When temp is -25/ +20, impedance ratio(Max.) at 120 Hz should respevtively be 3,2,2,2,2 and 2 corresponding to WVDC are10,16,25,35,50 and 63.When temp is -40/ +20 the corresponding impedance ratio at 120 Hz should respevtively be 4,4,4,4,4 and 4.Load life should be 2,000 hours (1,000 hours D=8mm) at +125°C with rated WVDC when capacitance change 20% of initial measured value,dissipation factor 200% of initial specified value and leakage current 100% specified value.Shelf life should be 1000 hours at 105°C with no applied voltage.Units will meet load life specifications.Capacitors placed on a 250°C hot plate for 30 seconds with their electrode terminals facing downward will fulfill the following conditions which are capacitance change 10% of the initial measured value,dissipation factor 100% of specified value and leakage current 100% of specified value after being cooled to room temperature.When the frequencies were 50Hz,120Hz,300Hz,1kHz and 10kHz,the corresponding Ripple Current Multipliers were 0.75,1.0,1.35,1.57 and 2 under the condition of C(Capacitance)47F.
When the frequencies were 50Hz,120Hz,300Hz,1kHz and 10kHz,the corresponding Ripple Current Multipliers were 0.8,1.0,1.34,1.34 and 1.5 under the condition of 47F<C470F.When the frequencies were 50Hz,120Hz,300Hz,1kHz and 10kHz,the corresponding Ripple Current Multipliers were 0.85,1.0,1.1,1.13 and 1.15 under the condition of C>470F.
