The IDT79RV5000180BS272I is designed as one kind of multi-issue 64-bit microprocessors. It servers many performance critical embedded applications, such as internetworking systems, color printers and graphics terminals.

It has eleven features. (1)Dual issue super-scalar execution core. (2)Single-cycle repeat rate for most floating point ALU operations. (3)High level of performance for a variety of applications. (4)MIPS-IV 64-bit ISA for improved computation. (5)Large on-chip TLB. (6)Active power management, including use of WAIT operation. (7)Large and efficient on-chip caches. (8)High performance memory system. (9)Compatible with a variety of operation systems. (10)Uses input system clock, with processor pipeline clock multiplied by a factor of 2-8. (11)Industrial and commercial temperature range. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its terminal voltage with respect to GND would be -0.5 to 4.6V. (2)Its operating temperature range case would be from 0°C to 85°C for commercial. (3)Its case temperature under bias would be from -55°C to 125°C. (4)Its storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 125°C. (5)Its DC input current would be 20mA. (6)Its DC output current would be 50mA. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics are concluded as follow. (1)At output current of 20uA its output voltage low would be max 0.1V and its output voltage high would be min Vcc-0.1V. (2)At output current of 4mA its output voltage low would be max 0.4V and its output voltage high would be min 2.4V. (3)Its input voltage low would be min -0.5v and max 0.2Vcc.
