The compact design makes IL-Y low-profile(the overall height of mated connectors are .248"(6.3mm) when using a straight pin header) and thin(.138(3..5mm) connector thickness).2-15 contracts pin-header(board side) and socket housing (cable side or crimp type socket contacts)types of IL-Y are available, making IL-Y series connectors ideal for today's high-component-density electronics products.Semi-automatic cirmping machine is available for socket contact termination, making high volume  connector assembly work simple and fast. Also, board-in type IL-YB series connectors with the criomp type pin contact are available. IL-Y can be applied to various consumer electronics products including VCRs,TV sets and audio equipment, office automation equipment, computers, test and measurement instruments, etc.It has many unique features: The first one is it is difficult for dust and debris to come  onto element. The second one is easy equipping. The third one is easy alignment of light axis for emitter and detector. The forth one is anti-visible rays due to visible ray cut resin for detector type.
