LP3876 General Description
TheLP3873/LP3876series of fastultra low-dr opoutlinear regulators operate from a+2.5Vto+7.0 Vinput supply.Wide range of preset output voltage options are available.These ultra low dropout linear regulators respond very quicklyto step changes in load,which makes them sui table forlow voltage micr oprocessorapplications.TheLP3873/LP3876 are devel opedonaCMOS process which allows low quies-cenr current operation independentof output load current.This CMOS process also allows the LP3873/LP3876toop-erateunder extremely low dropout conditions.
Dropout Voltage: Ultra low dropout voltage;typically 80mV at300mA load current and 800mV at 3A load current. Ground Pin Current: Typically 6mA at 3A load current. Shut down Mode: Typically 1µA quies centcurrent when the shut down pinispulled low.
ErrorFlag: Error flag goes low when the output voltage drops10 be low nomin alvalue. SENSE:Sense pinimp rovesregul at ionatremote loads.PrecisionOutputVoltage:Multipleout put voltage optionsare available ranging from 1.8V to 5.0V with aguaranteed accuracy of ±1.5% at room temperature,and ±3.0% over all conditions(varyingline,load,andtemperature).
