LT1777

The LT^®1777 is a Buck (step-down) regulator designed fornoise sensitive applications. It contains a dI/dt limitingcircuit programmed via a small external inductor in theswitching path. Internal circuitry also generates controlleddV/dt ramp rates.

The monolithic die includes all oscillator, control andprotection circuitry. The part can accept operating inputvoltages as high as 48V, and contains an output switchrated at 700mA peak current. Current mode control offersexcellent dynamic input supply rejection and short-circuitprotection. The internal control circuitry is normally pow-ered via the VCC pin, thereby minimizing power drawndirectly from the VIN supply (see Applications Informa-tion).  The fused-lead SO16 package and 100kHz switch-ing frequency allow for minimal PC board arearequirements.
