DescriptionThe LTC1710CS8 is one member of the LTC1710 family which is designed as the SMBus dual high side switch (two built-in 0.4/300mA switches) that are controlled by a 2-wire SMBus interface. This device can be used in (1)handheld computer power management; (2)computer peripheral control; (3)laptop computer power plane switching; (4)portable equipment power control; (5)industrial control systems. And it has one three-state programmable address pin that allows three different addresses for a total of six available switches on the same bus.
Features of the LTC1710CS8 are:(1)two 0.4W/300mA N-channel switches; (2)SMBus and I2C compatible; (3)low standby current: 14mA; (4)0.6V VIL and 1.4V VIH for DATA and CLK; (5)separate drain connection to SW0; (6)available in MS8 and SO-8 Packages; (7)three addresses from one three-state address pin; (8)independent control of up to six switches; (9)built-in power-on reset timer; (10)built-in undervoltage lockout.
