The MAX1280BCUP is designed as 12-bit ADCs which combine an 8-channel analog-input multiplexer, high-bandwidth track/hold, and serial interface with high conversion speed and low power consumption. Typical applications include portable data logging, data acquisition, medical instruments, battery-powered instruments, pen digitizers and process control.
MAX1280BCUP has nine features. (1)8-channel single-ended or 4-channel pseudo-differential inputs. (2)Internal multiplexer and track/hold. (3)Single-supply operation +4.5V to +5.5V. (4)Internal +2.5V reference. (5)400ksps sampling rate. (6)Low power 2.5mA (400ksps) 1.3mA (reduced-power mode) 0.9mA (fast power-down mode) 2A (full power-down). (7)SPI/QSPI/MICROWIRE/TMS320-compatible 4-wire serial interface. (8)Software-configurable unipolar or bipolar inputs. (9)20-pin TSSOP package. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of MAX1280BCUP have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its Vdd to GND would be from -0.3V to +6V. (2)Its Vdd1 to Vdd2 would be from -0.3V to +0.3V. (3)Its CH0-CH7, COM to GND would be from -0.3V to Vdd1+0.3V. (4)Its REF, REFADJ to GND would be from -0.3V to (Vdd1+0.3V). (5)Its digital inputs to GND would be from -0.3V to +6V. (6)Its digital outputs to GND would be from -0.3V to Vdd2+0.3V. (7)Its digital output sink current would be 25mA. (8)Its continuous power dissipation would be 559mW. (9)Its operating temperature range would be from 0°C to +70°C. (10)Its storage temperature range would be from -60°C to +150°C. (11)Its lead temperature (soldering, 10s) wiykd be 300°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
