The MAX1676EUB is designed as one kind of high-efficiency, low-supply-current, compact, step-up DC-DC converter device that can be used in (1)pagers; (2)wireless phones; (3)medical devices; (4)hand-held computers; (5)PDAs; (6)RF tags; (7)1 to 3-cell hand-held devices applications. And this device has a preset, pin-selectable output for 5V or 3.3V.

Features of the MAX1676EUB are:(1)94% Efficient at 200mA Output Current; (2)16A Quiescent Supply Current; (3)Internal Synchronous Rectifier (no external diode); (4)0.1A Logic-Controlled Shutdown; (5)LBI/LBO low-battery detector; (6)selectable current limit for reduced ripple; (7)low-noise, anti-ringing feature; (8)8-pin and 10-pin max packages; (9)preassembled evaluation kit.
