MAX232ESE General Description
The MAX232ESE is a kind of line drivers/receivers which is intended for all EIA/TIA-232E and V.28/V.24 communications interfaces, particularly applications where ±12V is not available.
Features of the MAX232ESE are:(1): supply voltage (VCC) is -0.3V to +6V; (2): input voltages:TIN is -0.3V to (VCC - 0.3V); RIN (Except MAX220) is ±30V; RIN (MAX220) is ±25V; TOUT (Except MAX220) is ±15V;(3): output voltages:TOUT is ±15V; ROUT is -0.3V to (VCC + 0.3V); (4): driver/receiver output short circuited to GND is continuous.
The absolute maximum ratings of the MAX232ESE can be summarized as:(1) operate from single +5v power supply; (2) low-power receive mode in shutdown; (3) meet all eia/tia-232e and v.28 specifications; (4) multiple drivers and receivers; (5) 3-state driver and receiver outputs.
