The MAX3740ETG is one member of the MAX3740 family which is designed as the 3.2Gbps SFP VCSEL driver with diagnostic monitor that can be used in (1)multirate (1Gbps to 3.2Gbps) SFP/SFF modules; (2)gigabit ethernet optical transmitters; (3)fibre channel optical transmitters; (4)infiniband optical transmitters. This device safety circuit detects faults that could cause hazardous light levels and disables the VCSEL output and is available in a compact 4mm x 4mm, 24-pin thin QFN package and operates over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
