MAX4370ESA

The MAX4370ESA is one member of the MAX4370 family which is designed as the current-regulating hot-swap controller that can be used in hot board insertion and solid-state circuit breaker applications. This device prevents the start-up condition by providing inrush current regulation during a programmable start-up period, and provides protection for a +3V to +12V single supply.

Features of the MAX4370ESA are:(1)dualspeed/bilevel protection during normal operation; (2)inrush current regulated at start-up; (3)resides either on the backplane or on the removable card; (4)programmable start-up period and response time; (5)allows safe board insertion and removal from live backplane; (6)protection for +3V to +12V single supplies; (7)latched off after fault condition; (8)status output pin; (9)internal charge pump generates gate drive for external n-channel MOSFET.
