The MAX485CSA is designed as one kind of low-power, slew-rate-limited RS-485/RS-422 transceiver that can be used in (1)low-power RS-485 transceivers; (2)low-power RS-422 transceivers; (3)level translators; (4)transceivers for EMI-sensitive applications; (5)industrial-control local area networks. Features of this device are:(1)ESD protection: ±15kV-human body model;(2)slew-rate limited for error-free data transmission;(3)-7V to +12V common-mode input voltage range;(4)three-state outputs;(5)30ns propagation delays, 5ns skew;(6)full-duplex and half-duplex versions available;(7)allows up to 128 transceivers on the bus;(8)current limiting and thermal shutdown for driver overload protection.
