The MAX487ECSA is designed as one kind of ±15kV ESD-protected, slew-rate-limited, low-power, RS-485/RS-422 transceiver device that can be used in wide range of applications such as (1)low-power RS-485 transceivers; (2)low-power RS-422 transceivers; (3)level translators; (4)transceivers for EMI-sensitive applications; (5)industrial-control local area networks. And this device draws as little as 120A supply current when unloaded or when fully loaded with disabled drivers.
