The MAX9686MJA is designed as very fast TTL comparator manufactured with a high frequency bipolar process (fT=6GHz) that are capable of very short propagation delays, yet maintain the excellent DC matching characteristics that are normally found only in slower comparators.
It has six features. (1)6ns propagation delay. (2)2ns latch set-up time. (3)+5V, -5.2V power supplies. (4)Pin-compatible to LT1016, Am686. (5)Available in commercial and military versions. (6)Available in small outline. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be +/-6V. (2)Its power dissipation would be 336mW. (3)Its input voltages would be +/-5V. (4)Its differential input voltages would be 3.5V. (5)Its output current would be 20mA. (6)Its operating temperature range would be from -55°C to 125°C. (7)Its storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 150°C. (8)Its lead temperature soldering 10 seconds would be 300°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
