Description

The MCT62 is designed as one kind of dual phototransistor optocoupler device that has two channels for density applications: for four channel applications, two-packages fit into a standard 16-pin DIP socket such as (1)AC Line/Digital Logic - isolate high voltage transients; (2)Digital Logic/Digital Logic - Eliminate spurious grounds; (3)Digital Logic/AC Triac Control - isolate high voltage transients; (4)Twisted pair line receiver - Eliminate ground loop feedthrough; (5)Telephone/Telegraph line receiver - isolate high voltage transients; (6)High Frequency Power Supply Feedback Control - Maintain floating grounds and transients; (7)Relay contact monitor - isolate floating grounds and transients; (8)Power supply monitor - Isolate transients.

Features of the MCT62 are:(1)Two isolated channels per package; (2)Two packages fit into a 16 lead DIP socket; (3)Choice of three current transfer ratios; (4)Underwriters Laboratory (U.L.) recognized File E90700.

The MCT62 optocouplers have two channels for density applications. For four channel applications, two packages fit into a standard 16-pin DIP socket. Each channel is an NPN silicon planar phototransistor optically coupled to a gallium arsenide infrared emitting diode.



The MCT6, MCT61, MCT62 & MCT66 series of optically coupled isolators consist of infrared light emitting diodes and NPN silicon photo transistors in space efficient dual in line plastic packages mounted two channels per unit.
