      The MDLS16166D-03 is designed as 16 characters (5*8 dots)x 1 line STN positive yellow transflective dot martrix LCD module.Its viewing angle would be 6 O'clock direction.Its driving duty would be 1/16 duty, 1/5 bias.'NOVATEK' NT3881DH-01/AI (die form) LCD controller and driver or equivalent.It also would have the yellow-green LED04 backlight.
      Some absolute maximum ratings (Ta=25°C) have been concluded into several points as follow.The first one is about its power supply voltage (logic) which would be min -0.3V and max +7.0V.The second one is about its power supply voltage (LCD drive) which would be min -0.3V and max +13.5V.The third one is about its input voltage which would be min -0.3V and max Vdd+0.3V.Something should be noted that the modules may be destroyed if they are used beyond the absolute maximum ratings and all voltage values are referenced to Vss=0V.The fourth one is about its ambient temperature which would be from 0 to 50°C for operating and would be from -10 to +60°C for storage.The fifth one is about its humidity which would be 95@ max RH for Ta <= 40°C and <95% for Ta > 40°C.The sixth one is about its vibration which means the frequency would be from 10 to 55 Hz and the amplitude would be 0.75mm and the duration would be 20 cycles in each direction.
      Also there are some important electrical soecifications about it.The first one is about its supply voltage which would be min 4.75V and typ 5.00V and max 5.25V.The second one is about its supply voltage (LCD) which would be min 4.2V and typ 4.5V and max 4.8V with condition of Vdd=5.0V.The third one is about its input signal voltage for E, DB0-DB7, R/W, RS which would be min 2.2V and max Vdd V for H level and would be min -0.3V and max 0.8V for L level.The fourth one is about its input signal voltage for OSC which would be min Vdd-1.0 V and max Vdd V for H level and would be min Vss V and max 1.0 V for L level.The fifth one is about its supply current (logic & LCD) which would be typ 0.7mA and max 1.1mA for character mode and would be typ 1.4mA and max 2.1mA for checker board mode.And so on.For more information please contact us.
