MG256

The MG256 is designed as the micro electronics LTD with color of green. It has two digit 0.5'' display.

MG256 has seven features. (1)High performance GaP. (2)0.5inch character height. (3)Common anode or common cathode models. (4)Solid state reliability which means long operation life. (5)High contrast. (6)Wide viewing angle. (7)Available in color of green. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of MG256 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its reverse voltage would be 5V. (2)Its peak forward current pulse would be 200mA. (3)Its continuous forward current DC would be 20mA. (4)Its power dissipation would be 300mW. (5)Its stprage temperature range would be from -20°C to +85°C. (6)Its operating temperature range would be from -20°C to 85°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device. And about the peak forward current the pulse width would be 1ms, duty ratio 1/10.

Also some electrical characteristics of MG256 at Ta=25°C are concluded as follow. (1)Its static forward voltage would be 2.2V with conditions of If=20mA. (2)Its luminout intensity would be 300ucd with test conditions of If=10mA. (3)Its segment to segment luminous intensity ratio would be 1.5:1 with test conditions of If=10mA. (4)Its wave length at peak emission would be 565nm. (5)Its spectral half width would be 30nm. And so on.

At present we have not got so much information about this IC and we would try hard to get more information about MG256. This IC also has another two types: MS256 which would be red and MO256 which would be orange. For example of the MS256, its luminous intensity would be 600ucd, its wave length at peak emission would be 700nm and its spectral half width would be 100nm. And so on.
