MRF449

The MRF449 is designed for power amplifier applications in industrial, commercial and amateur radio equipment to 30MHz. The features of MRF449 are specified 12.5 V, 30 MHz characteristics: output power=30 W (PEP),  minimum gain=12 dB and efficiency=50%.

The following is about the absolute maximum ratings of MRF449: (1)collector-emitter voltage, VCEO: 20 V; (2)collector-base voltage, VCBO: 40 V; (3)emitter-base voltage, VEBO: 4.0 V; (4)total device dissipation @ TC=25, PD: 60 W and derate 343 W/ above 25 ; (5)storage temperature range, Tstg: -65 to +150; (8)thermal resistance, junction to case, RJC: 2.9/W.

The electrical characteristics of the MRF449 are: (1)collector-emitter breakdown voltage: 20V at IC=100mA, IB=0; (2)collector-emitter breakdown voltage: 40V min and 50C typ at IC=50mA, VBE=0; (3)collector-base breakdown voltage: 40V at IC=20mA, IE=0; (4)emitter-base breakdown voltage: 4.0V at IE=5.0mA, IC=0; (5)DC current gain: 10 min at IC=1.0A, VCE=5.0V; (6)output capacitance: 140pF max at VCB=12.5V, IE=0, f=1.0MHz.
