MT8964AC

The MT8964AC is designed as integrated PCM filter codec. Manufactured in ISO2-CMOS, these integrated filter/ codecs are designed to meet the demanding performance needs of the digital telecommunications industry, e.g., PABX, central office, digital telephones.

It has eleven features. (1) ST-BUS compatible. (2) Transmit / receive filters & PCM codec in one IC. (3) Meets AT&T D3/D4 and CCITT G711 and G712. (4) Low power consumption. (5) Digitally controlled gain adjust of both filters. (6) Analog and digital loopback. (7) Filters and codec independently user accessible for testing. (8) Powerdown mode available. (9) 2.048 MHz master clock input. (10) Up to six uncommitted control outputs. (11) ±5V ±5% power supply. That are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its DC supply voltage would be min -0.3V and max +6.0V for Vdd-GNDD and would be min -6.0V and max +0.3V for Vee-GNDD. (2) Its reference voltage is min GNDA and max Vdd. (3) Its analog input is min Vee and max Vdd. (4) Its digital inputs is min GNDD-0.3V and max Vdd+0.3V except CA and would be min Vee-0.3V and max Vdd+0.3V for CA. (5) Its output voltage is min GNDD-0.3V and max Vdd+0.3V for SD0-2 and min Vee-0.3V and max Vdd+0.3V for SD3 and would be min Vee-0.3V and max Vdd+0.3V for SD4-5. (6) Its current on any pin is max 20mA. (7) Its storage temperature range is from -55°C to +125°C. (8) Its power dissipation at 25°C would be 500mW. Exceeding these values may cause permanent damage. Functional operation under these conditions is not implied.

Also some DC characteristics about it. (1) Its input current would be max 10.0uA. (2) Its input low voltage would be max 0.8V except CA and max Vee+1.2V for CA.
