MV1821

The MV1821 is a member of the Enhanced Video Automation (EVA) family for receiving Programme Delivery Control(PDC) messages broadcast in World System Teletext(WST) format two Broadcast Service Data Package(BSDP).It will also receive Video Programme System (VPS) data from TV line 16 in Manchester bi-phase format.The data from either service can be read via the I2C bus connections in a standard format.Additional data is appended to include new PDC features and differentiate between data sources.It is intended for use in video cassette recorders to provide automatic recording of suitably labelled television programmes requested by the user.

The MV1821 has 8 features.The first one is fully automatic PDC/VPS switching.The second one is fully error checking of both data formats.The third one is low external component count.The fourth one is I2C bus for low cost interfacing.The fifth one is I2C bus and DAV released during power down.The sixth one is low frequency 6.9375MHz oscillator.The seventh one is full decoding of hamming data(PDC).The eighth one is supports 'fast mode' I2C.

The MV1821 has some absolute maximum ratings.When parameter is supply voltage,the rating is -0.3V to +7.0V.When parameter is all inputs,the rating is -0.3V to VDD+0.3V.When parameter is operating temperature,the rating is -10 to +75.When parameter is storage temperature,the rating is -65 to +150.
