      OT391 designed for line-powered general purpose applications such as relay and lamp drivers, small motor controls, gate drivers for larger thyristors, and sensing and detection circuits. Supplied in a cost effective plastic TO-92 package.
      OT391 has 6 festures. The first one is that sensitive gate allows direct triggering by microcontrollers and other logic circuits.The second one about OnState Current Rating of 0.8 Amperes RMS at 80.The third one is about Surge Current Capability 10 Amperes.The fourth one is about Immunity to dV/dt 20 V/sec Minimum at 110.The fifth one about is Glass-Passivated Surface for Reliability and Uniformity.The last one is about Blocking Voltage to 600 Volts.
OT391 has some maximum ratings. Peak Repetitive OffState Voltage( VDRM, ,VRRM) is 600V under the condition of TJ = -40 to 110, Sine Wave, 50 to 60 Hz; Gate Open. Need to explain things:VDRM and VRRM for all types can be applied on a continuous basis. Ratings apply for zero or negative gate voltage; however, positive gate voltage shall not be applied concurrent with negative potential on the anode. Blocking voltages shall not be tested with a constant source such that the voltage ratings of the devices are exceeded.

PG(AV) (Forward Average Gate Power whenTA = 25, t = 20 ms) is 0.10 Watt. IGM (Forward Peak Gate Current When (TA = 25, Pulse Width 1.0s) is 1.0 Amp. VGRM (Reverse Peak Gate Voltage whenTA = 25, Pulse Width 1.0s) is 5.0 Volts. TJ (Operating Junction Temperature Range@ Rate VRRM and VDRM) is from 40 to 110. Tstg (Storage Temperature Range) is from -40 to 150.
