PLUS105-70

The PLUS105-70 is a bipolar programmable state machine of the Mealy type. Both the AND and the OR array are user-programmable.All 48 AND gates are connected to the 16 external dedicated inputs and to the feedback paths of the 6 buried state registers . Because the OR array is programmable, any one or all of the 48 transition terms can be connected to any or all of the state and output registers. All state transition terms can include true, false and do not care state of the controlling state variables. A complement transition array supports complex IF-THEN-ELSE state transitions with a single product term. The PLUS105-70 device features edge-triggered , J-K flip-flops, which provide the added flexibility of the toggle function which is indetermined on S-R flip-flops function, the PLUS105-70 is backward compatible with all 105-type devices that have S-R flip-flops. Asynchronous preset/output enable functions are available.The PLUS105-70 is pin-for-pin and software conpatible with Phiplips Semiconductors PLS105 and PLS105A logic sequencers, as well as other commercially available 105-type programmable logic devices. To facilitate testing of state machine designs,diagnostic mode features or register preset and buried state register observability havebeen incorporated into the PLUS105-70 device architecture.

It has many unique features: The first one is 70MHz operating frequency:100MHz clock rate; No OR term loading restrictions. The second one is it is available in 300mil skinny DIP, 600 mil-wide DIP, and PLCC packages. The third one is pin and software compatible with other commercially available 105 sequencers. The forth one is 16 pin variables. The fifth one is 8 output functions. The sixth one is 48 transition terms. The seventh one is 6-bit state register. The eighth one is 8-bit output register, etc.Besides, there are some applications. The first one is interface protocols. The second one is sequence detectors. The third one is peripheral controllers. The forth one is timming generatos. The fifth one is elevator controllers. The sixth one is security locking systems. The seventh one is counters. The eighth one is shift registers.

There are some absolute maximum ratings about it. Supply voltage(Vcc) is +7.0 Vdc. Input voltage(Vin) is +5.5 Vdc. Output voltage(Vout) is +5.5 Vdc. Input currents(Iin) is -30 mA minand 30 mA max. Operating temperature range is 0  to +75 . Storage tmperature range(Tstg) is -65  to +150. Maximum junction is 150 . Maximum ambient is 75. Allowable thermal rise ambient to junction is 75 .
