QT300

      The QT300 charge-transfer ("QT'") IC which is designed primarily for instrumentation applications,is a self-contained Capacitance-to-Digital-Converter (CDC).You could use it to detect femotofarad level changes in capacitance,and also use it for touch control applications where signal processing is best handled by a host MCU.Unlike other Quantum products, the QT300 does not process its acquired data.So if in some field where there are unique signal processing requirements it would be ideal.Also it requires only a single sampling capacitor to function.It operates on demand,and can be synchronized to allow several QT300's to operate near each other while it could exclude the impact of cross-interference.
      The QT300 has some primary applications.The first one is fluid level sensors.The second one is distance sensors.The third one is transducer 'amplifiers' for pressure and humidity sensing functions.The fourth one is material detectors.And it could be used in any other field where require quantified capacitance data.It also has ten features.The first one is capacitance to digital converter (CDC) IC.The second one is direct-to-digital conversion(16 bits).The third one is log response: Wide dynamic range.The fourth one is outputs raw data to a host device.The fifth one is single wire UART interface.The sixth one is master or slave mode SPI interface.The seventh one is programmable clock speed.The eighth one is turns objects into intrinsic touch sensors.The ninth one is one external sample capacitor to control gain.The last one is multiple QT300's possible on one SPI bus.
      Some absolute maximum ratings of QT300 have been concluded as seven points.The first one is about operating temp which should be as designated by suffix.The second one is about storage temp which shuld be within -65°C to +125°C.The third one is about VDD which should be within -0.5 to +6V.The fourth one is about max continuous pin current(any control or drive pin) which should be ±40mA.The fifth one is about short circuit duration to ground(any pin) which could be infinite.The sixth one is about short circuit duration to VDD(any pin) which could also be infinite.The last one is about voltage forced onto any pin which should be within -1V to (Vdd + 0.5) Volts.
