R1224N series

The R1224N series are CMOS-based PWM step-down DC/DC converter controllers with low supply current.Each of these ICs consist of an oscillator,a PWM control circuit, a reference voltage unit, an error amplifier, a circuit, resistors for output voltage detect, and input voltage detect circuit.

Features of the R1224N series are:(1)range of input voltage is 2.3 V to 18.5 V; (2)built-in soft-start function and protection function(reset type protection); (3)three options of oscillator frequency:180kHz, 300kHz, 500kHz; (4)high efficiency is 90% typ; (5)standby current is 0.0 uA typ; (6)high accuracy output voltage is ±2.0%; (7)low temperature-drift coefficient of output voltage is ±100ppm/ typ.

The absolute maximum ratings of the R1224N series can be summarized as:(1): Vin supply voltage(Vin) is 20 V; (2): EXT pin output voltage(Vext) is -0.3 V to Vin+0.3 V; (3): CE pin input voltage(VCE) is -0.3 V to Vin+0.3 V; (4): Vout/Vfb pin input voltage(Vout/(Vfb)) is -0.3 V to Vin+0.3V; (5): EXT pin inductor drive output current(IEXT) is ±50 mA; (6): power dissipation(PD) is 250 mW; (7): operating temperature range(Topr) is -40 to +85; (8): storage temperature range(Tstg) is -55 to +125.
