R8070

The R8070 is designed as T1/CEPT PCM transceiver which is a monolithic silicon gate CMOS device designed to implement PCM transmitter and receiver functions applied in promary-rate digital carrier systems worldwide. Both the transmitter and receiver contain appropriate circuitry for synchronization, channel monitoring and signaling extraction.

The R8070 has many features. The first one is implements primary-rate PCM formats. The second one is meets CCITT G.732, G.733 and applicable sections of G.703. The third one is supports AT&T technical advisories on extended superframe format and clear channel operation with B8ZS coding. The fourth one is supports SLC-96 applications. The fifth one is single chip receiver and transmitter. The sixth one is selectable serial or parallel data interface. The seventh one is reframe time less than 10ms. The eighth one is interfaces directly with rockwell R8071 ISDN/DMI link controller. The ninth one is available in 64-pin quad (QUIP) and 68-pin plastic leaded chip carrier (PLCC) packages. The tenth one is operates from a single +5Vdc supply. And so on. That are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of R8070 have been concluded into several points as follow. The first one is about its supply voltage which would be from +4.75V to 5.25V. The second one is about its operating temperature range for commerical which would be from 0°C to +70°C. The third one is about its storage temperature range which would be from -55°C to +150°C. That are all the main ratings. It should be noted that stresses above those listed may cause permanent damage to the device.
