RC144ACFL

The RC144ACFL is a kind of integrated data/fax/voice modem device set which supports high speed data and high speed fax modem operation in the US or world-wide over a dial-up telephone line and for US versions, a celluar phone. The device is suitable for laptop, notebook, and palmtop applications using parallel or serial interface (E39 MCU) or PCMCIA interface (P39MCU) for its low profile, small PQFP or TQFP packages. The device requires no external RAM or ROM. It supports either a parallel 16550A UART-compatible interface host or a serial EIA/TIA-232-E logic-compatible DTE interface.

There are some features as follows: (1)data modem throughput up to 57.6 kbps: V.32 bis, V.32, V.22 bis, V.22A/B, V.23, and V.21; Bell 212A and 103; (2)RC144ACFL performs ECC in the modem: V.42 LAPM and MNP 2-4 error correction; (3)V.42 bis and MNP 5 data compression; (4)MNP 10 data throughput enhancement; (5)MNP 10ECTM enhanced cellular performance; (6)celluar direct connect; (7)enhanced Rockwell Protocal Interface (RPI+) supported by WinRPI host software module; (8)backward compatible with software that supports RPI; (9)automatic format/speed sensing to 57.6 kbps; (10)flow control and speed buffering ; (11)serial sync/async data; parallel async data; (12)auto dial and auto answer, tone and pulse dialing.
