RF5C59

The RF5C59 is the CMOS LSI with 4 channels of serial port built-in for application to asynchronous communication. The operations include transfer rate, transmit/receiver of communication. It can be specified by program independently for each channel and it allows the use as peripheral circuit of CPU.

There are some features of RF5C59 as follows: (1)double-buffer mode transmitter/receiver; (2)dual transmit/receive of communication is practicable for all 4 channels; (3)settings of transfer rate at each channel for both hardware and software is practicable; (4)freedom of combination of logical address with physical address for 4 channels; (5)data length 8 bit, stop bit 1 bit fixed; (6)overrun and framing error are detectable; (7)error start bit is detectable; (8)direct connection ti 8 bit bidirectional data bus and data bus is practicable; (9)4 bit address input; (10)hardware interrupt signal of TXRDY and RXRDY that can be masked; (11)connection to high speed CPU is practicable; (12)5 V single voltage supply; (13)60 pin flat package.
