The RT9232 is designed as one kind of 4-bit programmable synchronous PWM buck converter controller that can be used in (1)Pentium II microprocessors power supplies;(2)flexible motherboards power supplies;(3)low-voltage distributed power supplies;(4)programmable step-down power supplies. This device drivers two N-MOSFETs at 200 KHz frequency and provides an optimal solution for size, efficiency, and cost in any application circuits. The controller also offers integrated functions including output enable, internal digital-count soft start, over-voltage, and current-limiting protection in one chip.
Features of the RT9232 are:(1)3 regulated voltage;(2)N-MOSFET driver for high efficiency switching section;(3)power-good, over-voltage and current-limiting protection for switching section;(4)1.5 V and 2.5 V fixed output voltages for linear section;(5)1.265 V reference voltage output;(6)capable of driving low cost NPN transistor as power device;(7)TTL-compatible 5-bit DAC core output voltage.
