Description

The S-8335 Series is a bias supply IC for a Multi Line Addressing (MLA) driven LCD using a dual-line simultaneous selection mode. This IC supports medium-sized LCD panels. Two step-up type and one inverter type PFM control CMOS switching regulators supply the required positive or negative power to the two MLA-driven LCD common drivers and segment drivers. Because of its CMOS structure, the current consumption of the S-8335 Series is extremely low, which makes it ideal for the LCD power supply of portable equipment that requires low power consumption.

Also, an extremely low power consumption LCD module can be created by  using the S-8335 Series with the LCD common driver (HD66523R∗1: Manufactured by Hitachi, Ltd.) and segment driver (HD66522∗1: Manufactured by Hitachi, Ltd.).
