The SBL1640CT is designed as one kind of dual schottky barrier rectifiers which would be formerly general semiconductor.
SBL1640CT has seven features. (1)Plastic package has underwriters laboratory flammability classification 94V-0. (2)Dual rectifier construction, positive center tap. (3)Metal silicon junction, majority carrier conduction. (4)Low power loss, high efficiency. (5)Guardring for overvoltage protection. (6)For use in low voltage, high frequency inverters, free wheeling, and polarity protection applications. (7)High temperature soldering guaranteed 250°C/10 seconds, 0.25'' (6.35mm) from case. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of SBL1640CT have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage would be 40V. (2)Its working peak reverse voltage would be 28V. (3)Its maximum DC blocking voltage would be 40V. (4)Its maximum average forward rectified current would be 16A for total device and would be 8A for per leg. (5)Its peak forward surge current 8.3ms single sine-wave superimposed on rated load (JEDEC method) would be 250A. (6)Its operating junction and storage temperature range would be from -40°C to 125°C. (7)Its RMS isolation voltage from terminals to heatsink with t=1 second, RH<=30% would be 4500V. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics of SBL1640CT are concluded as follow. (1)Its maximum instantaneous forward voltage per leg at 8.0A would be 0.55V. (2)Its maximum instantaneous reverse current at rated DC blocking voltage per leg would be 0.5mA at Tj=25°C and would be 50mA at Tj=125°C.
