SBX1602A

The SBX1602A is designed as a hybrid IC that receives serial data of the SMPTET 14,224 encoded by the SBX1601A and decodes into parallel data.

It has eight functions. (1)Automatic cable equalizer (maximum gain: 30dB at 135MHz). (2)PLL for serial clock generation. (3)Reclocked repeater output (active loop through). (4)Descrambler: modula-2 multiplication by G(X)=(x^9+x^4+1)(x+1). (5)Serial to parallel conversion. (6)SYNC monitor output. (7)Eye pattern monitoring. (8)Input signal detector. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be -6V. (2)Its input voltage would be from Vee to 0V. (3)Its output current would be -30mA. (4)Its operating temperature range would be from 0°C to 65°C. (5)Its storage temperature range would be from -50°C to 125°C. (6)Its allowable power dissipation would be 2W. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics are concluded as follow. (1)Its supply current would be typ 185mA. (2)Its input voltage pin used ADS would be min -0.4V for high and would be max -1.5V for low and pin used RSE would be min -0.4V for high and would be max -4.0V for low. (3)Its input current would be max 5.0uA for high and would be min -1.0uA and max 1.0uA for low. (4)Its input voltage pin used TN1 would be min -1.0V for high and would be max -4.0V for low. (5)Its output voltage pin used PCK, Dn would be typ -0.8V for high and would be typ -1.6V for low. And pin used EVR would be typ -1.2V. And Pin used DPR, SYN would be min -1.0V for high and would be max -4.0V for low. (6)Its rise time and fall time would be typ 0.8ns pin used PCK, Dn. And so on.
