The SC11485 is designed as one kind of 16-bit HiCOLOR palettes that support both the popular HiCOLOR-15 format which uses 5 bits of data per primary color and the HiCOLOR-16 color format which uses 5 bits for the red, 6 bits for the green and 5 bits for the blue primary color. The total colors available using the TARGA format are 32,768 while the XGA format provides 65,536 colors.
