The SC1156 is designed as a low-cost, ful featured synchronous, voltage-mode controller designed for use in single ended power supply applications where efficiency is of promary concern. Synchronous operation allows for the elimination of heat sinks in many applications.

SC1156  has five features. (1)Low cost/full featured. (2)Synchronous operation. (3)5bit Vid DAC programmable output. (4)On-chip power good and OVP functions. (5)Designed to meet intel VRM8.1 (klamath). Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of SC1156  have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its Vcc to GND would be from -0.3V to +15V. (2)Its PGND to GND would be +/-1V. (3)Its BST to GND would be from -0.3V to 26V. (4)Its operating temperature range would be from 0°C to 70°C. (5)Its junction temperature range would be from 0°C to 125°C. (6)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (7)Its thermal resistance junction to case would be 30°C/W. (8)Its thermal resistance junction to ambient would be 95°C/W. (9)Its lead temperature soldering 10 seconds would be 300°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics of SC1156  are concluded as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be min 4.2V and max 15V. (2)Its supply current would be typ 5mA.
