The SE556J is dual precision timer. The circuit can be operated in the astable or the monostable mode with external resistor-capacitor timing control.
Features of the SE556J are:(1)two precision timing circuits per package;(2)astable or monostable operation;(3)TTL-compatible output can sink or source up to 150mA;(4)avtive pullup or pulldown;(5)pulse-shaping circuits;(6)missing-pulse detectors;(7)tone-burst generators;(8)pulse-position modulators;(9)pulse generators;(10)application timers.
The absolute maximum ratings of the SE556J can be summarized as:(1)supply voltage:18V;(2)input voltage:VCC;(3)output current:±225mA;(4)continuous total dissipation:see dissipation rating table;(5)lead temperature 1.6mm from case for 60secons:300;(6)storage temperature:-65 to 150.
