SG3524S

The SG3524S is designed as a PWM switching regulator control circuit which contains all the essential circuitry to implement single-ended or push-pull switching regulators. Included on the circuit are oscillator, voltage reference, a pulse width modulator, error amplifier, overload protection circuitry and output drivers.

It has four features. (1)+/-5% typ oscillator tolerance. (2)20mV/1000 hrs typ long term stability. (3)Interchangeable with all SG3524 or LM3524 devices. (4)Operates above 100KHz. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its input voltage would be 40V. (2)Its reference output current would be 50mA. (3)Its output current (each output) would be 100mA. (4)Its oscillator charging current pin 6 or 7 would be 5mA. (5)Its internal power dissipation would be 1W. (6)Its operating temperature range would be from 0°C to 70°C. (7)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (8)Its lead temperature soldering 10 seconds would be 300°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics are concluded as follow. (1)Its output voltage would be min 4.6V and typ 5.0V and max 5.4V. (2)Its line regulation would be typ 10mV and max 30mV. (3)Its load regulation would be typ 20mV and max 50mV. (4)Its ripple rejection would be typ 66dB. (5)Its short circuit current limit would be typ 100mA. (6)Its temperature stability would be typ 0.3% and max 1%. (7)Its input offset voltage would be typ 2mV and max 10mV. (8)Its input bias current would be typ 2uA and max 10uA. (9)Its common mode voltage would be min 1.8V and max 3.4V. (10)Its common mode rejection ratio would be typ 70dB. And so on.
