The five features of the SL443A. (1)Well defined load power/potentiometer displacement characteristics. (2)High immunity against spurious triac firing under noisy mains environment (automatic spike filtration). (3)Enables compliance with cenelec EN50,006/BS5406-1976 (A) stitching rate controlled and (B) symmetrical burst control. (4)Very low external component count. (5)Triac firing pulses inhibited whilst the IC's power supply is being established. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of the SL443A have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its voltage on pin 8 would be max 10V. (2)Its voltage on pin 4 would be max 10V. (3)Its supply current, pin 2 peak value +/-12m would be max 50mA. (4)Its non-repetitive peak current would be max 200mA. (5)Its output current, pin 5 would be short circuit protected. (6)Its output current pin 4 average value would be max 10mA and short circuit protected. (7)Its operating ambient temperature range would be from -10°C to 75°C. (8)Its storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 125°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
