SN54LS381A General Description


The SN54LS381A is low-power schottky and schottky TTL arithmetic logic units/function generators that perform eight binary arithmetic/logic operations on two 4-bit wprds as shown in the function table. The features of SN54LS381A are as follows: (1)full parallel 4-bit ALUs in 20-pin package for 0.300-inch row spacing; (2)ideally suited for high-density economical processors; (3)arithmetic and logic operations selected specially to simplify system implementation.

The absolute maximum ratings of the SN54LS381A are: (1)supply voltage, VCC: 7V; (2)input voltage: 7V; (3)operating free-air temperature range: -55 to 125; (4)storage temperature range: -65 to 150.

The following is about the electrical characteristics of SN54LS381A: (1)VIK: -1.5V max at VCC=min, II=-18mA; (2)VOH: 2.5V min and 3.4V typical at VCC=min, VIL=2V, VIL=max, IOH=-0.4mA; (3)VOL: 0.47V typical and 0.7V max at VCC=min, VIH=2V, VIL=max, IOL=16mA; (4)II=0.1mA max at VCC=max, Vi=7V; (5)IIH: 20A max at VCC=max, VI=2.7V; (6)IIL: -0.2 mA max at VCC=max, VI=0.4V; (7)ICC: 35mA typical and 65mA max at VCC=max, all inputs grounded, outputs open.
