The SN54LVC138AD is designed as a 3-line to 8-line decoder/demultiplexer for 2.7V to 3.6V Vcc operation. SN54LVC138AD is for high performance memory decoding or data-routing applications requiring very short propagation delay times. In high performance memory systems, these decoders minimize the effects of system decoding.
SN54LVC138AD has seven features. (1)EPIC (enhanced performance implanted CMOS) submicron process. (2)ESD protection exceeds 2000V per MIL-STD-883 method 3015; exceeds 200V using machine model. (3)Latch-up performance exceeds 250mA per JESD 17. (4)Typical Volp (output ground bounce)<0.8V at Vcc=3.3V. (5)Typical Vohv (output Voh undershoot)>2V at Vcc=3.3V. (6)Its inputs accept voltages to 5.5V. (7)Package small outline. Those are all the main features.
