The SN74153 monolithic,data selectors/multiplexers contains inverters and drivers to supply fully complementary,on-chip,binary decoding data selection to the AND-OR gates,Separate strobe inuts are provided for each of the two four-line sections.

Features of the SN74153 are:(1)permits multiplexing from N lines to 1 line; (2)performs parallel-to-serial conversion; (3)strobe(enable)line provided for cascading{N lines to n lines}; (4)high-fan-out,low-impedance,totem-pole outputs; (5)fully compatible with most TTL circuits.

The absolute maximum ratings of the SN74153 can be summarized as:(1)supply voltage,VCC:7V; (2)input voltage:5.5V; (3)operating free-air temperature range:0 to 70; (4)storage temperature range:-65 to 150.
