The SN74LS122 is designed as DC triggered multivibrator which features pulse width control by three methods. The basic pulse width is programmed by selection of external resistance and capacitance values. It has an internal timing resistor that allows the circuits to be used with only an external capacitor. Once triggered, the basic pulse width may be extended by retriggering the gated low-level-active (A) or high-level-active (B) inputs, or be reduced by use of the overriding clear.
SN74LS122 has five features. (1)Overriding clear terminates output pulse. (2)Compensated for Vcc and temperature variations. (3)DC triggered from active-high or active-low gated logic inputs. (4)Retriggerable for very long output pulses, up to 100% duty cycle. (5)Internal timing resistors. Those are all the main features.

(2)Its operatig ambient temperature range would be min 0°C and typ 25°C and max 70°C. (3)Its output current high would be max -0.4mA. (4)Its output current low would be max 8.0mA. (5)Its external timing resistance would be min 5.0k and max 260k. (6)Its wiring capacitance at Rext/Cext terminal would be max 50pF. And so on.
